This games may be used as main activity in English classroom for young learners. It is suitable for introducing kinds of feeling-related personal expressions.
Age group:
Age 3-5
Objectives:
To introduce kind of expressions
To develop children’s intrapersonal and interpersonal ability
Material:
Big mirror
Steps:
- If it is possible, prepare a big mirror, so that some children can see their expressions altogether and compare.
- Then, ask them to make certain expressions (based on the vocabularies that are being learned).
Make a happy face!
Make a sad face!
Make a very happy face!
Make a shy face!
You should show them the expression while giving the instruction. After being rehearsed several times, only give them instruction without action.
