Body signs game can be used as warming up activity in English Classroom for young learners

• Age 3 -5
• Warming up game
• To get the children accustomed to symbols representing simple words

Procedure:

1. Ask the children to sit in a circle.
2. As the teacher, you stand up in the middle of the circle, and say “Hello!” while waving your hand. Subsequently, ask the children do the same thing.
3. Then, the teacher asks each child to do the same thing.
4. Next, you can say another words accompanied by appropriate body movements. And again, ask the children to imitate.

Examples:
“Friend” – hooking pointers
“Close” – cupping hands
“Open” – opening hands
